Job Introduction Student Mental Health Coach - Bournemouth and Poole - Full time - Permanent - £20,916 per annum Do you have a Level 3 qualification in working with Young People and a Mental Health Qualification? Are you a great communicator and have a passion for supporting people? Do you have previous experience working with people who have experienced Mental Health difficulties? If so, then Bournemouth & Poole College would like to hear from you. We are looking for a Student Mental Health Coach to join our Student Support Team. You will have previous experience dealing with Mental Health difficulties such as Asperger's, anxiety, depression and challenging behaviours. The Role As the Student Mental Health Coach, you will support all at risk learners in achieving their full potential by providing drop in and 1-2-1 support. You will safeguard all students and refer internally and externally to get the right support for the students, including being the point of contact for all agencies that are referring in around mental health and other related services for students and staff within the College. Other duties will include providing training and advice for staff on recognising and supporting students with mental health/wellbeing/behavioural/welfare issues, along with working closely with the college nurse, counselling team, student welfare/wellbeing, and student support mentors. You will be working across both Poole and Bournemouth sites.
