With this progression plan in place, it is essential for this business to find a Database Developer / Administrator to join their prosperous team as soon as possible.

Our client requires this successful candidate to be a core component to the structure of the business and predominantly provide consistent high quality and robust database solutions with accurate delivery on all completed tasks. This role would be ideal for an IT Graduate with some professional database experience as well as an enthusiasm to learn and develop within the work place. The ideal candidate also needs to be flexible within their role as there will be times where other duties will need to be completed to ensure the consistent smooth running of the business across all departments and levels. A can-do attitude must be shown in abundance along with aptitude and drive to meet high standards and exceed expectations.

Main Duties of the role:

Develop and maintain high quality and robust database solutions – data extracts, queries, scripts,Accurate delivery of ad hoc data requests and user support.Data related testing, fault finding and resolution of issuesOpportunity to learn & implement data security best practice and adhere to guidelinesProfessional Skills & Abilities, desirables for the role – Dependent on Experience:

  • Knowledge and experience in SQL databases, RDBMS and a range of management and development tools
  • Desire and ability to quickly learn new database technologies – specifically Amazon RDS – Aurora / MySQL
  • Awareness of customer data legislation – DPA and GDPR, data protection and security requirements
  • Knowledge and some experience developing scripts for data load and transformation - Python, Perl, SSIS
  • Awareness across a major web development stack – Java, PHP, Python, .Net
  • Some Experience in CRM, marketing automation
  • Ability to interpret requirements and deliver to agreed schedules
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A commitment to quality and a thorough approach to work
  • Involvement and contribution to the development of web and/or mobile solutions
  • Manages own time, priorities, and resources to achieve goals.
