I am working with one of the largest FM maintenance providers in the UK, providing planned, preventative and reactive maintenance to some of the most respected names within the commercial sector.

You will be working in an environment which will give you a varied workload and ensure that no 2 days are the same as this role will cover banking, financial, high street, data centres and call centres sites.


You will be working closely with the operations manager to ensure that the division is run smoothly, efficiently and profitably. Therefore you will be responsible for the overall performance of the department with full accountability for contractual performance against KPI’s and SLA’s as well as working to agreed budgets.

You will be the lead contact for these commercial contracts across the Midlands and you will be required to communicate effectively with clients and attend client meetings.

You will manage a team of over 20 engineers across commercial contracts with the support of a team of supervisors. You will also be responsible for managing a budget of up to £1m.


To be successful in this role you must be able to demonstrate;

  • A background in the management of HVAC engineering staff.
  • Experience of managing multiple contracts and a full understanding of Contract SLA’s & KPI’s.
  • Budgetary management experience up to £1m.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft programmes.
  • Full UK Driving licence.

Qualifications required for this role:

  • C&G Mechanical or Electrical
  • C&G 2381/2 – 17th Edition

Candidates with IOSH or NEBOSH are highly preferred.

This role will also require you to undertake a DBS check.


This role covers the Midlands with a large requirement for flexibility and potential overnight stays. The main base for this role will be in Birmingham however sites are located as far North as Crewe and as far South as Worcester.

You may have experience as one of the following: Contracts Manager, Contracts Lead, Building Services Manager or Facilities Manager
