Hudson IT have partnered with a leading financial services client, based in Edinburgh seeking an Agile Developer to join them on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity as you will be forming a brand new team in a new digital development area, creating new apps and services for customers. You will help define and establish a continuous delivery approach on a new cloud development platform, within an agile environment. Key accountabilities Define and evolve new application standards ensuring testability and ease of future change. Develop applications that can "test themselves" with automation created via practices like TDD and BDD. You will take the lead in software design Collaborate with solution architects and Devops engineers Essential skills Proven experience of digital technologies, with focus on service based integration, web and mobile Demonstrable experience of working in an Agile environment Advanced understanding and experience in Java and designing testable software Advanced understanding and experience of automation testing Hands on experience with cloud infrastructure and services preferably Amazon Web Service Experience of using supporting tools within a development environment such as Jira, confluence and GIT Experience of integrating with a range of SQL and noSQL database technologies Experience of iOS/Android development is desirable Andvacned understanding of object oriented programming is highly desired If you are interested and you would like to find out more on the above opportunity please apply in the first instance with a relevant CV.
