Operational Excellence Lead Engineer - Six Sigma Black Belt Do you work within Continuous Improvement? Are you a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt? Would you like to work for a company where you will have a major influence on company CI direction & strategy? Would you like to work for an organisation known for their business excellence? We are looking to recruit a lean Six Sigma Lead to work strategise and implement the Continuous improvement for a major UK defence manufacturer. They are looking to secure the services of a person who is still very hands on and would like influence the direction of this multi-site manufacturer in the UK. They are large enough to be well known and well respected in their industry, however still retain a culture of a close knit organisation. Hence they are looking for a very much hands on' CI Lead to concentrate on at least three of their sites and really drive improvement & changes throughout the company. Below is a brief overview of the role, please apply for full details Role purpose • Drive Sector and Business Unit continuous improvement and performance through the Standard Operating Framework, Internal Business Operating System and a Best Practice process • Continuous Improvement of the Standard Operating Framework for the Production Systems (Operations) function across the business • Role Model behaviour and embed a Continuous Improvement culture through SOF, Lean and Six Sigma tools and training • Support site CI Teams to deliver continuous improvement strategy, building and maintaining a functional community Key responsibilities Understand strategic plan deployment and current state and desired future state KPIs for the business and work with BU leadership to formulate improvement plans to close the gaps • Establish project charters for performance enhancing improvement projects and promote execution through Tactical Implementation Plans • Maintain Production System modules and process flows • Maintain a high level of competence among the BU resources to facilitate and deploy all elements of Standard Operating Frameworks that support improvements and problem solving via induction training material and SOF/CI material • Drive the effective use of RCPS • Support cross-Company CI initiatives and all integration activities with functional expertise • Actively participate with the Company CI community • Participate and utilise A&A process to focus CI activities; support BU's/sites in TIP generation and execution towards A&A and kpi targets; internal and external benchmarking • Support Operations and Supplier Management Council • Provide Production Systems expertise to CBOS deployment Qualifications and Experience • Depth of experience in driving change within Production/Operations • SOF experience across all disciplines.
