Technical Support Co-Ordinator (Patient Handling Equipment) Based Near Cheltenham Salary: £24,000 to £26,000 per annum + Benefits Permanent Position A leading manufacturer of patient care and handling equipment based near Cheltenham is seeking a Technical Support Co-Ordinator / Engineer to join their expanding team. Ideally, you will have a good basic knowledge of mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems. The role would suit someone who has been working as a Service Engineer on Patient Handling Equipment who is looking for a more site based support role. Job Summary Working as part of the Customer Services Team, you will coordinate repair callouts and provide various aspects of technical support to engineers, customers, clients and contractors. Key Duties Working within the technical support team you will: - Field incoming technical support calls, including first-line fault diagnosis, repair calls and product advice. - Schedule and co-ordinate repair visits, including allocating resources and monitoring progress whilst keeping customers up-to-date with progress. - Maintain records of each call and process all related paperwork. - Plot, book and issue paperwork for all services, parts and repairs. - Provide cross-cover for the other installations coordinator and the service contract administrator. - Attend breakdowns, repairs and services from time to time. - Carry out other duties as operational requirements dictate to assist with the day to day running of the business. You will be trained on: - Diagnosis, repair and service of our products. - Handling part requests and quoting for replacement parts. - Raising repair calls, warrants parts orders and the returns of warranty parts. - Scheduling engineers. You already need to have the following: - Good basic knowledge of mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems. - An interest in mechanical and electrical equipment. - Good people skills and telephone manner. - Good computer literacy. - Analytical and problem-solving ability. - Willingness to get stuck in.
