Job Title: Financial Controller/ Head of Finance Location: Wimbledon Salary: Up to £55,000 + benefits Evolve Recruitment are recruiting for a fully qualified Financial Controller to work for a market leading organisation based in central Wimbledon. The ideal candidate will have solid experience and understanding in project accounting and have strong experience working in a similar role as a Financial Controller or Head of Finance. An exciting opportunity to lead a team and be responsible for the Finance team, thus previous team management skills are essential in the successful candidate. Immediate start - Immediate Interviews Key Responsibilities: ·Preparing and interpreting ad-hoc financial information ·Driving through cost rationalisation and improved business efficiencies ·Management of project profitability and variance analysis/reporting ·Management of work in progress reporting and revenue recognition ·The Financial Controller will be responsible for the review, implementation and monitoring of all financial controls in accounts and business processing/transacting ·Management, development and support of all accountancy staff/functions ·Provision of financial information to all interested/necessary parties ·Management of group finances and treasury functions ·Review & development of accountancy information systems ·Review of all management accounts, budgets, forecasts and other information generated by the management accounting team ·Compliance with all statutory responsibilities (VAT, PAYE, HMIT, CIS etc) ·Production of all statutory accounts, audit documentation, draft tax computations & consolidation ·Liaison with professional advisors on all financial matters (auditors, tax advisors,) ·Liaison with all external financial parties (tax authorities, VAT inspections, finance companies, bankers etc) ·Control and reconciliation of Fixed Assets and recommendations on asset financing ·Financial control of all accountancy functions (P/L, S/L & N/L) ·Management of the Profit & Loss account and Balance Sheet including profit, tax and net asset planning ·As a Financial Controller, you will look after the development and control of business critical KPI's ·Attendance at weekly and monthly Business Unit meetings Key Skills: ·Team management experience ·Self-motivated, driven ·Ability to work well under pressure ·You must have your CIMA or ACCA qualification/be a qualified Accountant. ·The ideal candidate will be tech savvy and process driven. ·Experience using Summit 3000 would be desirable ·Proven experience within Construction or Engineering is desirable but not essential ·Experience of working in a fast-paced role, and able to hit the ground running.
