We are opening a new long-term Residential Children’s Home for Disabled Children in the heart of Shrewsbury. We are looking for Residential Workers with the skills and experience to lead shifts and be part of a new team providing a high standard of care. As a Residential worker, you will be working 37 hours a week , working flexibly as part of a shift pattern to cover 365 days a year. This will include sleep in duties, You will be providing Residential Care for Children and Young People aged 5-17 years with a learning disability, physical disability, autism and health needs. How you’ll make a difference: By creating a ‘home from home’ environment which nurtures, supports and develops young people to reach their full potential By designing a programme to ensure the young people have fun whilst developing their independence By providing personal care, and administering of medication By ensuring that all relevant paperwork is of a high standard – including Behaviour support plans, risk assessments, daily contact sheets By ensuring that the home meets the Quality Standards By ensuring that all young people in your care are kept safe What you’ll need: A relevant Qualification and relevant experience for the role A driving licence is desirable but not essential A vision to develop and promote the home to ensure its success To apply please visit our website via the apply button.
