Credit Controller Location: Shrewsbury Salary: £18-20k, dependent upon experience Post: Full Time Manbat Ltd operates as an importer, stockist and distributor of stored energy products, batteries for everything from watches to wheelchairs; from cars to Caterpillars; from medical equipment to giant emergency back-up power systems and from small pleasure craft to multi-million-pound luxury yachts. With over 55 years of experience and 11 warehouses throughout the U.K, 3 of which are industrial operations, these specialise in the servicing and fitting of industrial battery cells, predominantly fork lift truck batteries. Reporting to the Finance Manager and working closely with the other Finance team members, the Credit Controller will be responsible for chasing all outstanding invoices to the Company and play a vital role in the cash flow, ensuring all credit terms given to customers are monitored and controlled effectively. The main duties within the role include; - Ensuring that daily credit control activities are completed on time and in line with agreed procedures. - Ensure that appropriate telephone contact is made at the earliest possible stage on overdue debts, in accordance with the Credit Control timetable. - Processing payments accordingly. - Allocating payments to the correct accounts through an internal system, facilitation of telephone credit card payments from customers. - Resolving all issues and queries affecting the collection of outstanding debts. - Ensuring Company procedures are followed at all times. - Liaison with internal Business Development Managers regarding accounts. - Suspend credit facilities in accordance with Company credit policy. The successful candidate will have: - Good experience within credit control / customer account management environment. - Experience in office / administration. - Excellent telephone skills. - Excellent written and oral communication skills. - Excellent numeracy. - Excellent I.T skills including, Word, Excel and internal systems - training will be provided. - Strong customer focus. - Ability to deal confidently with a wide range of people in difficult circumstances.
