Senior Mechanical Design Engineer x 5 Location: Central London Length: 6 Months Rate: £Neg There are some major rail upgrades taking place in London at present and we are currently recruiting for a number of Senior Mechanical Design Engineers to work on a number of these major developments incorporating a couple of new build stations and tunnel extensions. We are looking for Senior Mechanical Design Engineers from a Building Services background who have experience of mechanical services design on rail station projects to join the Central London office of a large successful multi-national Design Consultants on a long term contract basis. THE COMPANY - Very successful Global Building Services Design Consultancy. - Award winning and major project history. - Multi-disciplinary Consultant including specialist areas such as ICT, Fire protection and safety and vertical transportation. - Impressive London office close to major transport links. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES The Mechanical Design Engineers will be working within the M&E Design Team producing full Mechanical Services Design on major railway station projects. The Mechanical Design Engineers will be responsible for overseeing and delivering the mechanical services design on all stages of projects from concept through to completion, undertaking client liaison and technical meetings with design teams, architects and contractors. SKILLS AND BACKGROUND - Working knowledge of UK standards. - Major station or infrastructure project development experience. - Knowledge of Network Rail, LUL or TFL projects would be a major advantage. - Demonstrated Ability of Mechanical Design within a Consultancy Environment. - Must be able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
