An extremely dynamic and rapidly expanding world leading producer of automatic snack and beverage vending machines, successful within both the HoReCa and office coffee service sectors.

About the Role:

Working as a Vending Technical Product Support Specialist, you will be required to provide the provision of technical solutions, installation assistance and field support to Customers/Engineers both face to face and over the telephone. You will also deliver technical training on the expansive range of equipment available to customers. Approximately 50% of this role will be field based, with the remainder of your time spent working from the Midlands based office or home. More specific duties will include;

  • Support clients by providing the highest level of technical service to maintain customer confidence in products and enable the company to achieve sustainable competitive advantage throughout the UK and Ireland
  • Work closely with the UK management team to ensure the UK strategy and business goals are achieved
  • Provide on - site technical issues within a given timescale
  • Maximise the assistance given to clients by prioritising visits correctly (coordinating diaries with the Technical Director) and completing/distributing all relevant visit reports
  • Maintain good customer relations by presenting a professional, efficient and helpful service
  • Assist in the preparation and presentation of technical training courses and exhibitions when required
  • Provide onsite training for Engineer’s and Operator’s as directed by the Technical Director
  • Assist in the manning of the Technical Help Line either from the office or home
  • Ensure that all accounts have the appropriate level of technical support
  • Inform the Technical Director of any competitor product/price comparisons and technical activities
  • Responsible for regularly reviewing the client database to ensure it is updated to create market specific mailing lists
  • Attend regular reviews with the Technical Director to identify training needs as well as setting 'smart objectives’
  • Contact key customers regularly

Key Skills/Experience Required:

In order to be considered for the role of Vending Technical Product Specialist, you must possess the following;

  • Based in the Midlands of the North or the UK
  • Previous technical vending experience would be an advantage but not essential
  • Technical ability - electrical/mechanical engineering background considered
  • Experience of facilitating technical training
  • Customer facing and problem solving abilities
  • The ability to work well under pressure
  • Fault finding experience is desirable
  • A full clean UK driving license
  • 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grades A - C
