"Bishop Douglass provides a good education for students with very wide-ranging and diverse interests and needs." Ofsted November 2010
This is an exciting opportunity to join the committed and energetic teaching staff at Bishop Douglass. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, well qualified and innovative teacher.
The successful candidate will be a dynamic classroom practitioner with the ability to teach History to A level as well as some Citizenship lessons at KS3 and KS4. You will be able to motivate students to achieve above minimum targets and will make lessons challenging and enjoyable; your outstanding practise will maximise students' potential for learning. GCSE teaching starts at year 9 and we have a 'stage not age' approach to student learning. History is a popular option choice at both key stage 4 and 5.
"The very positive relationships that exist between students and their teachers and other adults create a calm and purposeful atmosphere in which to learn". Ofsted November 2010
