Assistant / Junior Buyer - Homewares - £25K

Our client is a well-known high street fashion retailer, who also sell fantastic homewares products within their stores. They now have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Buyer to join the team.

Location: Solihull, West Midlands (commutable from Sparkhill, Shirley, Coventry, Meriden, Redditch and surrounding areas)

Salary: £23K - £25K

The Junior Buyer will hold a variety of responsibilities including Planning, Trading, Range Building and Managing the Supply Chain.

You’ll assist in the preparation of pre buying trip / development packs and prepare own packs for the part of the range of which you are responsible. Ensuring that all information is correct including fabric weight, composition, target cost price and technical specification. You’ll also understand the range building process and making suggestions to the Buying Manager.

Other duties include:

- Reviewing EPOS on a regular basis, highlighting sales and markdown opportunities.
- Understand all WSSI weekly summary figures and present these in Trading Meetings.
- Work alongside the Buyer to build a small range and propose styling, grade, price and quantities in range sign off.
- Maintain effective and timely communication will Suppliers.
- Maintain departmental critical path.
