As a Project Engineer, your main responsibility will be to provide mechanical engineering advice to support the engineering and operational teams ensuring high quality, safe, efficient delivery of capital projects.

Description

As a Project Engineer, your main responsibility will be to provide mechanical engineering advice to support the engineering and operational teams ensuring high quality, safe, efficient delivery of capital projects.

As well as providing Mechanical technical expertise, you will normally take the Lead Mechanical Engineer position on Capital Projects ensuring all regulatory and BASF requirements are met.

You will generate mechanical design packages (Pre-FEED requirements) in liaison with Operations and Discipline Engineers for TSS UK and Ireland sites.

In addition, you will also support the project and operational teams during detailed design, procurement and construction and maintain revisions and updates of key documents.

Generating Mechanical Engineering Documents for plant design through the management of external service provider (Engineering Partner) will also be a key part of your role.

You will also support construction and commissioning management teams throughout the project to ensure the process plant meets all Mechanical design and EHS requirements.

Furthermore, you will ensure fully documented handover to the production and maintenance teams ensuring all equipment recorded on to DMS / SAP in line with local and global procedures to enable demonstration of RC compliance.

Finally, you will implement BASF technical rules and local Responsible Care requirements and identify and develop local guidelines where required.

Profile

Our ideal candidate will be educated to degree level in Mechanical Engineering or another relevant field, with experience in a project environment.

This should include high quality, safe, efficient delivery of capital projects within the Process / Chemical Manufacturing sector, through the utilisation of internal and external resources.

A suitably qualified candidate, with other relevant project experience may also be considered.

As well as excellent decision-making skills, you will have the ability to support other members of the team, specifically on mechanical procedural and regulatory compliance topics.

Job Offer

Salary for the role is 34-36K + £5224 target bonus.
