The IT Support Team is the central point of contact for all local IT related incidents and service requests. The role of IT Technician is to provide 1st/2nd Line support for all staff/employees of Hilton Foods UK, Hilton Food Group and provide support when required to any subsidiary site within Hilton Food Group. The IT Technician is responsible for resolving support requests as well as ensuring customer satisfaction, continuity of service, operational efficiency, and is required to be involved in IT projects as they arise. The IT Support Staff work in a dynamic, fast paced environment which provides services through multiple avenues. For example, over the phone, through email, and in person.

Responsibilities will include:

  • To diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents, including operating systems and across a range of software applications.

  • To assist all of our users with any logged IT related incident when called upon.

  • To accurately record, update and documents requests using IT service Desk system.

  • To install and configure new IT equipment.

  • To resolve incidents and upgrade different types of software and hardware.

  • To maintain a first class level of customer service ensuring that all customers are treated efficiently and in an appropriate manner.

  • To be a highly motivated team player with the skills and ability to manage changing priorities.

  • To create/maintain and publish relevant support documentation in order to assist all IT Staff in the quick resolution of incidents and service requests.

  • Maintain Production solutions, liaise with Production teams to improve effectiveness of those systems.

  • Maintenance of Local Area Networked computers, switches, servers and printers to ensure maximum up-time.

  • Maintenance of Users through Active Directory.

  • Maintenance of file security and permissions.

  • Configure, manage, and maintain telephone systems, and hand-held technologies, e.g. Mobile phones, tablets.

Successful applicants will have had experience in the following:

  • Windows 7/8/8.1 and Server 2008/2012.

  • Microsoft Office Products.

  • Cisco Products - Switching, Firewall, Wi-Fi Technology - Administrative Level.

  • VMWare Environments - Administration Level.

  • Email/Microsoft Exchange Environment - Administration Level.

  • Microsoft System Centre - Administration Level.

  • Operating within a manufacturing environment.

  • ERP systems.

  • EDI
  • Troubleshooting & Diagnostics TCP/IP and Wi-Fi Technology
