The Ecommerce Manager performs a key function using a data insight driven approach to the optimisation of the sales funnel, including the optimisation of the transactional journeys and core website landing pages.
The role requires a broad base of experience including User Experience/ Usability, a strong understanding of Search Engine Optimisation and Social media, content generation & procurement, landing page optimization and an appreciation of Content Management Systems.
My client is a market leading Insurance organisation based in Godalming
The Ecommerce Manager will have the following responsabilities
Transactional optimization: Optimisation of the online trading transactional journeys ensuring optimal throughput of traffic and average order value through usability improvements
Landing page optimisation: Optimisation of landing pages to convert the maximum number of visits to started quotes, phone calls or contact requests. Included within this is AB and/ or Multivariate testing
SEO: Driving the SEO strategy, ensuring the primary trading websites are optimized for Natural Search, with a strong commercial focus
Analytics: Using Google Analytics and Sessioncam to identify website optimisation opportunities
The ideal Ecommerce Manager will have the following
- Significant experience in a similar role - managing brochureware websites to generate leads and optimise this traffic
- Strong knowledge of Search Engine Optimisation, including the role of on-page and off-site factors in SEO success
- Experience in automated conversion rate optimization tools, such as Optimisely and Sessioncam
- Strong creative skills, including copywriting and the ability to deliver digital assets, such images
A salary of £40,000 per anum plus benefits.
