Accountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are working with a highly progressive firm of accountants in Shrewsbury who are looking to add an Accounts Semi Senior to their team.

The ideal individual for the role will have a solid foundation in general practice work and will have experience in the preparation of statutory accounts, bookkeeping and VAT work. The ideal candidate will be AAT Qualified and/or studying towards ACCA/ ACA.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Preparation of statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
Preparation of personal and corporate tax computations and returns
Preparation of management accounts
VAT & bookkeeping
Dealing with HMRC queries
Dealing with ad hoc client queries
Building strong client relationships

Skills:

ACA/ ACCA Part Qualified/ Student
AAT Qualified/ Part Qualified or QBE
Experience of working in practice is essential
