Purchase Ledger Clerk
Birmingham City Centre
£18k - £22k

The Company are a successful multi-disciplinary property organisation who specialise in the management and development of commercial properties nationwide.

They are looking for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join an expanding team working alongside the property management division. The role would be diverse and varied and be a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to continue their career within accounts payable.

Key responsibilities;

  • Coding invoices and posting to ledger, obtaining correct authorisation for invoices
  • Set up new supplier accounts and maintain existing account details within the purchase ledger
  • Preparing BACS payments
  • Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements
  • Investigating wrong way balances Liaising with budget holders in business
  • Liaising with suppliers
  • Filing purchase invoices
  • Coding expense forms and posting to ledger
  • Ensuring items claimed have receipts and are being claimed in line with expenses policy
  • Set up new expense accounts and maintain existing account details within the purchase ledger
  • Preparing BACS payments
  • Liaising with staff/directors
  • Filing expense forms

Personal requirements;

  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills and is able to work as part of a team
  • Previous purchase ledger/accounts payable experience is necessary
