My client is a well-established UK leader in the manufacture and supply of quality tableware, catering disposables and Christmas crackers. They manufacture both branded and own label products. The company have shown YOY growth of 4% recently and are in a very healthy financial position.
As Area Sales Manager, you will be given regional responsibility for the London and South-East areas and challenged to develop and manage an account portfolio to achieve volume, turnover and sales objectives. You will collaborate with existing customers to achieve maximum exposure of the product range and to achieve business aims, whilst also generating new business across the region. The region’s turnover is approximately £2m and has 130 live accounts. There will be an element of new business development with this role.
You will be an experienced Account Manager with a proven track record in account management and sales, ideally within the foodservice industry (distributors, wholesalers and individual foodservice outlets). You will have strong commercial acumen and influencing skills and the ability to develop new business whilst maintaining strong customer relations. Experience within the FMCG industry would be beneficial but not essential, also a non-food consumer goods background would also be desirable. The area stretches from the SL, GU postcodes through to ME, CT and down and across to BN with everything in between including London.
