Baltic Recruitment are looking for recruit a Technical Facilities Engineer for a global leading well-established automotive/engineering manufacturing business located in Cannock, Staffordshire. The role is to be responsible for the project and cost management for the facilities, services and utilities of the site.

Roles and Responsibilities of the Technical Facilities Engineer:

  • Project manage all programs of works as defined by the Facilities and Installations Manager;
  • Support the general day to day running of the department with a fully integrated team approach;
  • Develop a cost monitoring system by the way of Excel format for the control of utilities;
  • Assist in the execution and delivery of all technical projects in accordance with the Best Practice / GPCS systems;
  • Run and maintain cost down projects as set out by the department;
  • Research and develop efficiency projects for the business which fall under the remit of the department;
  • Challenge any and all elements of the business that are seen to be area for "Cost Avoidance";
  • Act as advisor to the business when required regarding the department's functions and elements within its remit.

Experience and Education required of the Technical Facilities Engineer:

  • Ability to prioritise workload to ensure efficient use of time allocated to them;
  • Experience working within a fast-paced Manufacturing environment;
  • Understanding of cost down benefits to the business;
  • Basic understanding of general functional services of a manufacturing facility;
  • Experience in Project Management and understanding of budgetary control;
  • Be qualified to a minimum GCSE level in Maths and English and preferably but not essential hold an ONC/HNC level qualification in an engineering discipline;
  • Strong MS Office skills, including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint;
  • Ability to prioritise workload to ensure efficient use of time allocated to them;
  • Possess a confident approach with ability to communicate concise information;
  • Flexible approach to working and the ability to priorities when required;
  • Must possess a proactive attitude with ability to organise tasks;
  • Must be an effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills, open to change and have a can-do approach;
  • A self ability to challenge project direction and ensure that best practice is maintained throughout.
