Surface Mount Assembly Operative (Night Shift)

£Salary negotiable plus benefits

Requirements for the Surface Mount Assembly Operative
Experience required in assembling surface mount assemblies to IPC-610 standard. Thorough understanding of surface mount assembly processes, electronics background within the automotive, aerospace medical or computer electronics. Detail oriented, focused on quality and customer requirements, exceptional eye for detail, good oral and written communication skills. Good computer skills.

Main duties of the night shift Surface Mount Assembly Operative.

Contribute to the production operation-ensuring products are manufactured to the highest quality.
Be familiar with Surface-Mount Technology (SMT) electronic components and SMT assembly process.
Be able to set-up and operate automated SMT assembly equipment including Screen Printer, Glue Dispensing Machine (where required), Pick and Place Machine (automated and manually operated equipment) and Reflow Oven (training available). This includes the loading of relevant programmes on each machine required for the product being assembled.
Cleaning of misprinted boards.
Prepare kits for manufacturing. Including feeder programming where required.
Able to perform visual inspections of SMT assemblies.
Able to interpret IPC-A-610 standards for acceptability and customer specifications.
Assist engineering in resolving any build related issues.

The Night Shift Surface Mount Assembly Operative working hours are:

Monday to Thursday 40 hours per week 9.00pm to 7.00am
25 days holiday plus bank holidays
