We’re now looking for Finance Business Partner to join our Finance business Partnering Team in Coventry to help us continue to make that difference.

How the role fits in

An opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Finance professional to join our UK Business Partnering team.

This will be a high profile role in a fast-moving business. You will be reporting to the Business Partnering Manager and will provide financial and decision making support to the Chief Operating Officer and the senior leadership team within Customer Operations (CO). You will also have exposure to the UK Managing Director as well as the UK Head of Finance and Group Finance Director.

This role will work with the business to proactively challenge cost across a multi-million pound cost base, by implementing and measuring performance against key KPI’s and financially appraising new efficiency initiatives. It will also lead the budgeting and forecasting across the entire CO base, as well as providing insight into monthly spend against plan and tracking performance against cost reduction initiatives.

There will also be line management responsibilities, overseeing an Assistant Business Partner who will support and take accountability for areas. This is an exciting time to join the finance team as we go through expansion and change to align ourselves with the demands of a growing business.

The role day to day

  • Financially appraising new investments whilst tracking and reporting the performance of existing initiatives on a monthly basis

  • Implementing and tracking of key cost KPI’s to drive cost reduction and efficiencies

  • Overseeing delivery of month end and monthly financial reports for the entire Customer Operations cost base

  • Leading planning and forecasting process across Customer Operations

  • Attending, supporting and providing challenge to Customer Operations Leadership Team (COLT) meetings

  • Managing and developing Assistant Business Partner line report

  • Deputising for the Business Partnering Manager when required

  • Working closely with Workforce Planning team to understand and challenge resource model assumptions

What you'll need to help make the most of the role

  • You will be a Qualified Accountant with experience of supporting Senior Stakeholders

  • Track record of identifying cost savings and adding value

  • Strong minded, able to handle challenging stakeholders

  • You can demonstrate strong financial modelling skills (particularly investment appraisal)

  • A strong commercial approach

  • Flexible approach to working

  • Capable of working in a fast paced environment

  • Prior experience of working within a Business Partnering role

  • Be a senior member of the finance community
