Please note this role can be a 12-month contract or a permanent position.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Manage events from end-to-end
  • Track monthly results and trends for business forecasting
  • Establish timescales & project manage the arrangements for event
  • To report on deliverables at the end of each event via the events database spreadsheet, to ensure the results of the event contribute to the overall outputs of the BD team
  • To build excellent working relationships with colleagues across the BD team
  • To work closely with the relationship team in order to include as many clients and target relationships in events and mailings as possible, and to proactively notify the relationship team when clients or key relationships respond
  • To work closely with the Comms team to scope opportunities for external and internal PR and Comms activity for each event.
  • To pick appropriate venues & sponsors
  • To build new relationships
  • To follow up after events

Qualifications and Skills

  • Previous experience in event management - Ideally 3 years minimum
  • Strong leadership qualities
  • Credible, innovative & highly personable
  • Knowledge of Microsoft packages (Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
  • Strong project management skills
  • Team player who can meet deadlines, prioritize workloads and manage multiple projects
  • Excellent organization & communication skills
  • Experience within professional services or similar industry
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms or related software
