Senior IT Support Technician - Shift Based Work

*Please note - THIS IS A SHIFT BASED ROLE (12 HOUR SHIFTS - 4 DAYS ON/4 DAYS OFF)*

I'm looking for a Senior Technology Support Technician to join a market leading Technology Company's newly created Support team, based in Erith, Kent. The Technology Support team is a dynamic and professional environment with new challenges and technologies being constantly developed and deployed. As a Senior IT Support Technician (mentor) with team technicians and will need to take the initiative to assist and progress incidents and situations where necessary.

The Technology Support Team will be providing the business with 24x7 support - Please note - THIS IS A SHIFT BASED ROLE (12 HOUR SHIFTS - 4 DAYS ON/4 DAYS OFF)

A number of the key duties involved in the Senior IT Support Technician role include:

  • Full spectrum technical support covering all aspects of technical/warehouse support.
  • Delivering a first class service, focusing on customer satisfaction and responding to internal customer's needs.
  • Close attention to understanding customer expectations and setting clear expectation levels to customers is a must.
  • Acting as an intermediary (in conjunction with the TSS Regional Team Leader) between the TSS and infrastructure/server teams.
  • Mentoring and providing detailed technical assistance to technicians within the TSS team.
  • Participate in and implement elements of business projects as and when required.
  • Participation within a team and working well with colleagues, ensuring a strong professional work ethic.
  • Ensure other team members adhere to agreed working practices and processes.

A number of the key attributes needed in the Senior IT Support Technician role include:

  • Previous experience of providing support within a large environment.
  • Previous experience supporting Windows 7/8/10 and MAC OS X. Android, iOS
  • Ability to provide technical support on Citrix based Thin Clients.
  • A good understanding of network infrastructure.
  • Team player with the ability to motivate and mentor other team members.

IMPORTANT - The role involves working BOTH days and nights, so flexibility to do this is essential*
