We are currently looking for motivated and passionate Outpatient Nurses to join our clients existing dedicated and friendly team in a private hospital located in Surrey. This opportunity is a full time role and the successful candidate will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern to cover business needs. The hospital offers a range of surgeries for a number of health needs, including; hip and knee replacement, hernias, gall bladder surgery and cataracts. The specialties that they cover are endoscopy, general surgery, gynaecology, ophthalmology, oral surgery, orthopaedics, pain management, urology and ear, nose and throat.

What you'll be doing:

  • As Outpatient Nurse you will work under the Outpatients Department Manager to carry out pre- operative assessments, would assessment and care, suture and plaster removal.
  • As Outpatient Nurse you will enable patients to make informed decisions about their treatment and general welfare
  • As Outpatient Nurse you will enable patients ensure that all treatments given meet individual patients needs, reflect good practice and are provided by means of appropriate equipment, within the agreed patient care pathways.

Duties of this role include:

  • Provision of professional nursing support based in the Outpatient Department. Consistently maintain high standards of nursing care.
  • To work as part of the Outpatient Team and participate in achieving the standards of patient care and customer service.
  • Maintain and monitor health, safety and security of staff, patients and visitors and safety and security of premises.
  • To ensure the confidentiality surrounding patient care and other staff members

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Knowledge and experience of Cardiology preferable
  • Experience in the Outpatient Department preferable
  • Development of new skills to reach competency
  • You will have a valid NMC membership
  • You will recent experience within a hospital environment 1 year minimum
