AEM Developer - Lead Adobe Experience Manager Developer

Our client, a leading global insurance organisation, is currently recruiting for a Lead Developer (Adobe Experience Manager) to be based in their grwoing digital team in the heart of Shoreditch, London. This will be an instrumental role to lead the implementation and development capability of a new strategic content platform for the redesign of customer facing websites.

The AEM Platform Team consists of scrum teams based in London and Singapore. The successful candidate will work closely with other AEM Lead Developers in the other global teams and the personal attributes are as important as the technical capabilities.

Your responsibilities include:

o Be the Lead Developer in a Scrum Team for current and future strategic digital programmes

o Leading the technology implementation of 'Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)’ as a strategic content management platform

o Lead the definition of AEM development standards and frameworks, software architecture, design principles and ways of working

o Establish the operating model for AEM development (and contribute to this as a group-wide initiative)

Essential Technical Skills

o Professional Experience working in AEM version 6.1

o Excellent knowledge and experience on Adobe AEM, with expertise on all AEM Stack: AEM Modules, Granite, Sling, OSGi and JCR.

o Working experience implementing Templates, Components, Dialogs and Workflows in Adobe AEM platform.

o Good working experience in component based development with Java, valuable experience developing with JDK 1.8.

o Working experience in Java Unit Testing using Mockito and PowerMock frameworks.

o Strong working knowledge of Agile Software Architectures.

o Experience in Agile Scrum environment.

o Knowledge of modern software engineering practices, such as Test Driven Development, Behaviour Driven Development, Continuous Integration (Jenkins, Maven) & Static Analysis software (SonarQube, Coverity).

Desirable Technical Skills

o Experience in the following frameworks related with Adobe AEM: Sightly, Sling Models and WCM Use API.

o Working experience designing AEM Component Dialogs for Touch UI with Granite UI framework.

o Experience in a multi Scrum teams environment, managed by Scrum of Scrums or Scrum Nexus.

Essential Organisational Skills

The successful candidate will ideally have experience in a number of the following areas:

o Mentoring and coaching of the software engineering team

o Experience in working with strategic resourcing partners both offshore, onshore and nearshore.

o Managing and coordinating distributed development teams

o Shaping, assessing and estimating the impact of new projects and initiatives.

o Extensive experience working with Agile (Scrum/ Kanban)

o Negotiating, influencing, effectively challenging and gaining commitment
