IT Support Technician
This is an excellent opportunity to become an integral part of a small IT team supporting a wide range of disciplines and technologies. This role entails providing first line support to users, working with desktop PC's and Audio Visual equipment.
There is also an element of general IT related duties such as installing printer cartridges, taking delivery of stock, etc.
Support is predominantly driven through helpdesk queries but some support needs to be immediate, via phone or direct liaison with the user, and so the successful applicant needs to have excellent communication skills and be able to manage their time effectively to manage and resolve queries.
This role will be based in Norwich. There may be a requirement, on occasion, to visit offshore installations for particular project work.
Key responsibilities include:
First line support, helping users and working with desktop PCs and Audio Visual equipment.
Initial troubleshooting of both hardware and software related issues. A mix of Dell desktops and laptops. MS Office suite as well as industry specific applications.
Supporting users in local site as well as onshore terminals and offshore installations, utilising a helpdesk system and remote support tools.
Qualifications & Experience:
Well versed in Windows 7 & Windows 10 and have an overall interest in IT and Audio Visual.
Degree level education.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
Customer focused with a good work ethic.
Strong communication skills.
A self-starter looking to develop both themselves and the role.
Able to take initiative and quick to learn on the job.
