For this role you must be a passionate graduate who has previous experience working with children with SEN, either in a volunteer or paid role and a strong academic record. You should have the skills to quickly build strong, lasting relationships and the skills to breakdown and explain complex ideas simply. You will have the drive to help make a difference to specialist learning and thrive in challenging situations. The Headteacher wants to recruit a graduate with an empathetic approach to understanding behavioural issues that could lead to much more positive outcomes for the pupil and the school.
About the SEN Teaching Assistant Role
As an Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant at this school you will be helping to nurture the social and academic development of a bright girl in Reception who has Autism Spectrum Disorder. Day-to-day, you will be beginning your teaching career in a school that could offer you a place on their teacher training programme and will be developing your education knowledge in a supportive and creative department.
