Newcross Healthcare is looking for professional, dedicated and experienced Support Workers who are committed to delivering high-quality care to support Learning Disability clients in the Suffolk area through our friendly Ipswich branch.

The Position

Joining Newcross in a Support Worker position means that you understand the importance of a person centred approach to care. With a natural ability to put each person's needs at the centre of all you do, you will provide compassionate care in a professional manner at all times.

Our clients live with varying learning disabilities and/or autism, so we are seeking individuals with previous professional experience in a similar role. You will be confident in your ability to deliver personalised care with a mindful approach, placing the service user's well-being at the centre of all you do.

It's desirable that you have at least an NVQ2 / SVQ2 level qualification in Health and Social Care, with epilepsy training also preferable (however training can be arranged).

Person Specification

You will need to have the right to live and work in the UK, at least 3 months previous paid care experience in the UK and suitable referee contact details to apply for this vacancy. You will also need a valid certificate confirming your participation in a practical moving and handling course, or be willing to book onto a Newcross course.

You should be willing to travel locally to reach client locations, with access to your own vehicle desirable.
