Support Analyst / Application Support Engineer / Software Support (SQL)

Near Witham

£21,000 - £25,000 plus on-call bonus (c£3k)

Well established software business, with a wealth of well-known clients, is looking to expand its support function with the addition of a Support Analyst with SQL skills.

You will look after a suite of mobile digital solutions. You will get involved with planning installations, implement upgrades and fixes to a variety of clients and support more complex issues.

SQL skills are essential, though the database flavour is not so important (MS, Oracle, Sybase, MySQL etc.). Most of the work will involve data recovery and Application support across Windows, Linux and UNIX systems.

Their solution is very stable, so part of your role will also involve working with the Testing team using Automated Testing tools. No experience is needed, so this is a fantastic chance to add another string to your bow.

There is an on-call rota where you are paid whether you work or not. It is very rare to receive a call, so most of the time it is money for nothing! If you do have a call to tend to, there is an additional bonus of £100 per individual call.

This role will suit either a junior-mid support person with some SQL skills looking to skill-up, or an experienced engineer who understands bespoke application support (and of course SQL).

If you are a support professional, with good SQL skills, then please apply now or call Simon Morris at Prime Appointments for more information and a confidential chat.
