Purpose and Objectives of The Job
1.To provide a comprehensive servicing and maintenance service for customers statuary systems.
2.To assist as a team member in the installation of alarms.
3.To actively promote the company to customers.
4.To provide technical expertise and support to other engineers.

Control of Resources
Personnel- To be responsible for any staff who may be assigned to the post holder for training purposes.

Financial- To be responsible for ensuring that financial regulations are observed in all aspects of the work.

Equipment/Materials- To be responsible for all equipment and materials required to meet the designated tasks.

Responsibility for the safety and welfare of self and colleagues in accordance with the Health and Safety Policy of the company.

Training and Development
The post holder will be responsible for assisting in the identification and undertaking of his/her own training and development requirements in accordance with the Companies training matrix.

Relationships (Internal and External)
Members of the public.
Representatives of the community and non-statutory organisations. Staff and members of other Public and Private sector organisations.

The post holder must-
*Perform his/her duties in accordance with the Companies Equality and Diversity Policy.
*Ensure that the companies' commitment to excellent customer service is promoted and reflected in all work activities.

Principal Duties
1.Annual servicing of statuary systems.
2.Repair alarm systems and emergency lighting.
3.Maintain a mobile base.
4.Attending call outs from time to time on a rota basis.
5.Liaise with customers (reporting faults and defects in systems).
6.Liaise with suppliers, ordering parts for repairs.
7.Testing of statuary systems.
8.Assist in Installation of systems.

Secondary Duties
To participate in the Companies' programs of in-service training as a trainee and when required as a trainer facilitator. To undertake such other duties and responsibilities of an equivalent nature as may be determined from time to time by the Office Manager.

Attributes essential to be competent within Job Description

*An understanding of British standards for Fire Alarms.
*Working knowledge of Fire Alarm Systems.
*Working knowledge of building and fire codes and the ability to discover and document deficiencies in the systems being inspected.

*Positive customer service attitude and people skills.
*Posses excellent communication skills (Written & Verbal)

*Experience of working on a range of statuary systems
*Experience of fault finding and repair of statuary systems.

The basic salary for this position is negotiable with an OTE of £30,000.
This is a permanent full time position, Monday- Friday 8am-5.30pm
