Providing great care is so much more than a set of actions, it's about empowering each individual to live their life to the best of their abilities.
It is desirable that you have experience supporting clients with challenging behaviours along with having a basic level of British Sign Language due to the communication needs of some clients. You should have the confidence to work on a 1-to-1 basis with service users or within a small team of healthcare professionals.
It is also essential that you are confident delivering personal care with a mindful approach towards promoting the well-being, dignity, independence and championing their needs and seeing them as more than a care plan.

We are looking for individuals who can be flexible with their availability, with regular and short notice shifts on offer. Having a driving license and access to your own vehicle would be beneficial, as you could be required to travel up to 30 minutes to client locations. You should also have an NVQ2 in Health and Social Care.
You'll need the right to live and work in the UK, plus previous professional care experience within a UK setting.The Local Branch
Our Canterbury branch is based at St Andrews House on Station Road East opposite Canterbury Castle which was built just after the Battle of Hastings. It is a popular tourist attraction in the city being second to Canterbury Cathedral. We are just down the road from the local train station and easily reachable by car or bus. We provide nursing and HCA work to all areas of Kent from Faversham in the West, Margate in the East, and Dover in the South.
