We're seeking a very multi skilled Bookkeeper / Office Administrator for a small, successful & very busy (& we really do mean busy) construction company based near Sealand Road in Chester.

This role is Full or Part Time (min 4 days per week).

Most importantly, we need a candidate with a proven wealth of similar Bookkeeping & general Office skills & therefore a closely matched background to this job.

It’s almost an Office Manager role but no supervisory duties: you'll be managing the work, your time & the Management!

Duties are two-fold:

Office Bookkeeping: Daily working on Sage. Invoicing, reconciling bank statements, sending & querying invoices & monthly P&L. Some invoice chasing. Credit control. Stock ordering & stock control.

General Admin: Answering the phone, dealing with all calls - mainly clients & contractors. Managing diaries, administration, letters, emails & contracts.

Ensuring the office runs smoothly & efficiently - looking at processes & improving them.

A good & confident user of Word, Excel & Sage essential.

This is not a job for a faint hearted candidate. It's so busy & you'll be the first Bookkeeping / Administration employee on board & so it needs someone who will sort out the finances, Sage & indeed the role, from scratch & approach the job with great experience + a truly 'get on with it' attitude. These qualities will have to be evidenced at interview.
