Grants Finance Officer
My client is an international humanitarian organisation that is committed to fighting poverty, violence and injustice towards young people in over 70 countries around the world. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an impressive part-qualified accountant to join the charity, helping to mould a brand new role in their finance team.
- Coordinate and monitor Regional Offices (ROs), Country Offices (Cos) and National Offices (NOs) effort to financially close grants and liquidate partner advances.
- Provides support to COs and NOs to ensure the grants financial data (budget, income and expenditure) held in the PII accounting software is cleansed, maintained and collated so accurate period end reports can be produced.
- Provides guidance and training to offices to enable effective use of financial systems for monitoring and tracking performance, use of funds, financial reporting, forecasting and budgeting with regards to grants finances.
- Supports the quarter and year end processes.
The successful candidate will be part-qualified in a recongnised accountancy qualification and have knowledge of how financial accounting and grant accounting interact. They will have a very good command of Excel and multi-currency accounting packages and experience in using SAP is desirable. Strong communication skills and analytical skills are also a must.
