Brand new exciting opportunity! We are currently partnered with one of the big four on an exclusive Procurement Specialist position within HR & Professional Services department.
You will be responsible for providing your expertise through maximising the contribution of the HR & professional Services category through active support of key stakeholders. You will also provide support to budget holders with responsibility to expenditure and supplier relationships in the category.

What will you do as a Procurement Specialist?
* Act as a mentor to the less experienced members of the category team
*Supporting the Category Manager with the execution of the category plan, including support of client projects and delivery of savings
*Developing effective relationships and supporting the Strategic Sourcing Manager(s) and Category
*Identifying potential tensions between business requirements and the application of procurement best-practice and manage these
*Developing realistic and comprehensive sourcing timetables to ensure that project deadlines are understood, roles and responsibilities are clearly defined and communicated to the stakeholder(s)
*Actively supporting the team in their pursuit to improve the operations & performance of the function
*Interpreting data and understand the cost implications of supplier proposals and interrogating the firm's financial systems and highlighting cost creep and/or areas of procurement opportunity

Ideal profile
*Degree qualified (or qualified by experience)
*Working towards becoming a fully qualified member of applicable national Procurement institute (eg. CIPS, NEVI etc.)
*Experience in procurement or equivalent commercial roles, preferably with some experience in the HR & Professional Services category
*Relevant industry experience; Professional Services, Financial Services etc is desirable although not essential

In return for your expertise, you will be rewarded with a competitive salary of £60000 with a 10% bonus.
