Reed Finance Belfast is delighted to be working in partnership with one of county Tyrone’s most reputable employers, in their search for a commercially experienced Accountant to cover a period of maternity leave. Please note that this business has continued to enjoy significant growth and therefore this post has genuine scope to become permanent over the coming 12 months.

Reporting to the Financial Controller the successful applicant will maintain accurate accounting records including the preparation, development and analysis of key financial information: Key responsibilities include:

Engaging regularly with the commercial aspects of the business;

Daily/weekly business performance reporting, including costing analysis;

Review and improve internal controls;

Assisting in Preparation of monthly and annual management accounts;

Assisting in Compilation of budgets: analyse and review budgets and expenditure;

Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness;

Process Salaries & preparing Sales commission;

Monitoring cash flow & preparing rolling cash flow forecasts

Dealing with the statutory audit, having the audit file prepared internally and interact with external auditors;

Having a hands-on approach in resolving accounting discrepancies;

Technical and Tax Compliance – ensure the company complies with all necessary accounting technical standards and all relevant tax legislation, including Corporation Tax, VAT and PAYE and all other taxes (including foreign taxes);

Preparing and submitting regulatory returns, such as grant claims, VAT, PAYE and CIS;

Providing comprehensive, proactive and value added finance support and guidance to other Functions within the business;

Ensuring that foreign subsidiary companies comply with all local reporting, statutory and regulatory requirements;

Helping to manage the company’s relationships with insurers

All applicants should be a fully qualified Accountant with a minimum of 2 years PQE.
You should also be highly proficient with MS Office products, particularly MS Excel.
You must have a working technical knowledge of financial reporting standards and Corporation Tax.
