Summary of role:

  • Assist the North America Financial Reporting Corporate Accounting team in monthly, quarterly and half yearly accounting
Main activities/responsibilities:
  • Complete the processing of all technical responsibilities (see below) in a timely, efficient and accurate manner

  • Contribute to team effort and assist co-workers as needed to balance workloads

  • Help to create a work atmosphere conducive to a high degree of integrity and teamwork

  • Maintain customer satisfaction by promptly following up on customers’ requests for information.

  • Ensure performance management target are met and service is deliveredto end users as expected

  • Identify opportunities for continuous process improvement and innovative solutions and communicate these to the Team Leader.

  • Take proactive involvement in determining and implementing best practices

Technical activities/responsibilities:
  • Support of the month end close process for various business units.

  • Assist in the preparation for the formal Balance Sheet Reviews for business units.

  • Review journal entries and account reconciliations prepared by the BPO.

  • Prepare ad-hoc analysis / production of reports as requested to support accurate reporting and support business decisions.

  • Provide business partners with insightful reports on a timely basis and maintain automated report distributions

  • Assist with ERP project set up and maintenance

  • Assist with Annual Desktop Procedure (DTP) review and write up for any new processes created or transitioned to IBM.

  • Request / other adjustments (including review of month end postings for quality, identifying necessary material adjustments required and requesting necessary journal entries)

  • Perform SOX control testing

Expected results:


  • Strong working relationship with the Finance Business Partnering team(s) supported

  • Delivery of all work to agreed Service Level Agreements

  • Process improvement over time including simplification and standardization


Candidate should ideally come from a Graduate background (Accounting, Finance or other business related discipline). However candidates qualified by experience will also be considered.
