The Role
Manage daily Operations and Maintenance activities on a number of wind farms located throughout the UK&I while maintaining statutory, safety, quality and environmental standards. The Site Manager will be main contact for works and other day to day activities on a number of wind farms enhancing the quality of works on each project and providing interface with contractors, landowners and all other parties. You will also feed into the annual budgeting and planning process for each wind farm.

• Ensure all site works are carried out under the company work control system and safety rules. This will include carrying out safety inductions, managing contractors, providing toolbox talks and ensuring site safety.
• Supervise maintenance activities; respond to site trips and turbine errors and react to any emergencies in an expeditious way.
• Monitor the day to day issues on the relevant wind farms and advise the Asset Manager of issues affecting site production and availability targets.
• Carry out monthly wind farm inspections of turbines, civil and site electrical systems.
• Maintain good working relationships with O&M contractors, landowners and local communities throughout the lifetime of the wind farm.
• Maintain site inventory within the computerised maintenance management system, provide input to the in house reporting system and work with the Asset Manager to provide monthly reports.

The Candidate

• Supervision of works and contractors
• Interpretation of mechanical and electrical engineering drawings and work instructions.
• Familiarity with computerised SCADA systems and maintenance management systems.
• Good communication skills
• Completed a recognised mechanical/ electrical engineering apprenticeship or equivalent experience
• A current UK driving licence

• Planning and organising
• Ability to solve problems and perform duties with minimal supervision
• Operate independently within a team framework
• Work control procedures and site management in the context of operational wind farms or other related fields.
• Site management in the construction or electricity generation and distribution sector.
