Senior Financial Accountant
This world-renowned organisation is looking for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant or an ambitious Financial Accountant who is looking for the next step in their career. You will be the right hand to Head of Accounting and will work closely with the Senior team. Your duties will include but not be limited to the following:
- Prepare the annual statutory accounts and audit files for seven "group entities" and the independent trusts. These include the consolidated organisation's accounts and accounts for the organisation's three trading subsidiaries. To further support the Head of Accounting in the preparation of the consolidated published organisation's accounts and to liaise with the external auditors, as required.
- Manage the maintenance of general ledger records, ensuring accuracy, timely accounting, resolving issues and queries, as required.
- Complete and review balance sheet reconciliations to ensure that the information reported in the management accounts accurately reflects the financial performance of the organisation and provides an audit trail to appropriate source data. Specifically to prepare and maintain reconciliations across the areas of fixed assets, including maintenance of the fixed asset register, and Gift Aid/VAT.

Ideally you will have worked within a Not-For-Profit organisation yet possess commercial acumen. This role will be suited to someone who is qualified, has experience of SORP accounting and has experience of gift aid.
Experience of SUN accounting system is highly desirable but not essential.
