Our client, based in central Bristol, is seeking an experienced credit controller to join their accountancy team initially on a temporary basis. The priority will be to manage Debt for various clients, work closely with the other members of the Accounts Receivable team and the sales teams to resolve cash collection and invoicing issues, and work to ensure the team achieves objectives.
Our client is a well known media brand, focusing on special interest publications both digitally and in print, responsible for producing some much loved household names.
The duties of the Credit Controller will include, but not be limited to;
- Seeking to reduce outstanding debt through calling, emailing and writing to debtors.
- Managing debt levels appropriately
- Cash Collection and Allocation
- Report production
- Answer enquires from Internal and external contacts
- Build relationships to protect future revenues
The successful candidate will be a flexible, experienced credit controller, preferably with experience of several different types of businesses.
This is a hands on role and the candidate will be allocated some of the Ledger and expected to take ownership of the cash collection and allocation, as well as support the other team members.
The ideal candidate needs to be numerate with a keen eye for detail, take pride in the accuracy of their work, and be prepared to undertake ad hoc duties where necessary. A willingness to take ownership of the role and enjoy working within a team is essential.
The successful candidate for the role of Credit Controller will receive a salary between £21,000 & £26,000, dependent on experience.
