This is a fantastic opportunity for Healthcare Professionals (RGN's, RMN's, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists) with NMC / HCPC registration to work on a large Disability Assessor contract.

The job

As a Clinical Disability Assessor you'll be assessing clients either in their home or in consultation centres.

You'll be assessing peoples disabilities and impairments and how it affects their daily activities and living, and writing reports based on your findings.

This role will allow you to be out in the community as well as at centres, you'll be based from home going to scheduled visits. Appointments will be mostly in office hours but could be occasionally later in evening up until 8pm.

This is a 37.5 hours a week role, if in the community typically from 9-5pm, and if working from a centre it will be on a rota of 8am - 1pm or 1pm - 6pm, with Saturday work as well.

A comprehensive 5-week training programme will get you up and running.

The candidate

The key to the role is you must have experience of undertaking assessments and writing reports and have good typing and IT skills (e.g be able to talk and type at the same time). You'll need to be able to be impartial and be interested in undertaking a Government-backed disability assessment scheme.

For this role you must have at least 2 years post registration experience and be NMC, GMC or HCPC registered.

You must live in one of the postcodes above to be eligible - being close to a postcode but not within it doesn't count unfortunately.

You could come from one of a range of backgrounds such as an RGN Nurse, Occupational Physiotherapist, Paramedic, HCPC Physiotherapist.

You will need to be a car owner driver and be able to travel to various locations in your area.
