Program Quality Engineer, Midlands, Circa £40,000

A global organisation is seeking a Program Quality Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis to work at their site in Solihull.

Working in an automotive environment the Program Quality Engineer will be responsible for the planning, execution and monitoring of all quality related activities in the appointed programs to achieve customer requirements, as well as monitoring the program and identifying quality related obstructions and monitoring the effectiveness of implemented preventive and corrective actions.

Other responsibilities include; Implementation of quality methods to projects; Supporting RFQ phase; Supporting feasibility and design reviews; Supporting design FMEA activities; Supporting DFMA activities; Supporting Supplier ranking activities; Monitoring program PPAP planning and tracking activities and Supporting customer escalation, project reviews, PPAP reviews, Launch readiness, Process Audits and Sourcing audits.

In order to be considered for this position candidates need to have proven experience as a Quality Engineer within the automotive industry, and as such have a sound knowledge of TS 16949. In addition to this candidates need to have proven experience using quality tools such as PPAP, APQP, 8D, Root cause, FMEA's etc. It would be advantageous to have the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, as it would be to have gained experience of automotive interior systems.

The position of Program Quality Engineer is commutable from Birmingham, Solihull, Coventry, Bromsgrove, Walsall, West Bromwich and other areas within the Midlands.
