Job Title: Senior FM Procurement Specialist - Central Overheads (Procurement)

Reporting to Head of Procurement

Salary - £40-50000

Job objectives and responsibilities
The role of the Senior Procurement Specialist is to provide efficient and effective procurement support within a nationwide FM organisation. The post holder will be responsible for delivering the Procurement policy and will therefore be instrumental in influencing the preferred supply chain and departmental performance. In delivering this role effectively, the post holder will work in close conjunction with regional operations, divisional procurement departments and cross functional teams to meet business objectives.

Main Duties
*To determine & manage strategies for selected categories of direct and indirect purchases
*To undertake the procurement process (capture, consider and contract) for the determination of strategic vendors and contract specific requirements
*To develop, manage and document strategic vendor relationships with key vendors
*To proactively support regional operations in all areas of Procurement activity, which may involve frequent travel within the UK, with occasional overnight stays
*To promote and implement the procurement policy proactively within the business
*To support the mobilisation of new contracts in the appropriate regional area of responsibility
*To support procurement innovation within the business and project manage where required
*To provide monthly procurement reports accurately and on time
*To determine, review and support the internal and external audit process
*To review, implement and comply with policies and procedures
*To carry out work in a safe and diligent manner
*To comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures
*To attend and fully participate in training and appraisal activities as required
*To undertake additional duties in line with capabilities as required

Person Specification:
*Ideally working towards or gained the CIPS Graduate Diploma
*Excellent level of commercial and financial understanding, with demonstrable experience of working in a commercial environment
*Performance driven with strong project management, planning and organising skills
*Strong negotiator with demonstrable ability to influence
*Ability to travel within the UK
*Generally IT literate (preferably MS Excel competent)with demonstrable analytical skills
Clear communicator both oral and written
