Project Engineer - High Spec Apartments

A young and dynamic Developer has an exciting opportunity Project Engineer to join their company based in Manchester. The company works on a range of flagship residential and commercial development ranging from £5 million to £60million.

Owing to the award of recent projects they are looking to recruit an experienced Project Engineer to work on a bespoke city centre high rise residential project.

Working closely with the Project Manager you will predominantly be managing the provision of technical engineering advice which will include all stages of the scheme from pre-tender, pre-construction, construction, commissioning operation and maintenance.

Duties will include:

" Ensure all technical information is available when required for the delivery of the design and construction
" Effective communication of technical issues between the project management team and the other support/functions services within the team
" Application of Engineering principles in the preparation of calculations/drawings/sketches and resolution of Engineering challenges
" Implementing engineering systems, documentation and controls by compliance with H&S legislation, company and industry standards
" Checking drawings/specifications
" Supervision of other (including less experienced) engineering staff

The ideal candidate will have proven technical competence of materials and methods, excellent understanding of commercial consequences or engineering decisions, good understanding of H&S legislation, the ability to use IT and software packages and will have worked for a similar city centre developer or main contractor.
