The personal injury teams don’t just deal with compensation claims, we also work with our clients and their families to ensure all of their rehabilitation needs are met. The Role

To provide high level administrative support to the Personal Injury team.


• Diary Management: Manage diaries in a pro-active manner ensuring the Solicitors are prepared for all forthcoming appointments and assisting with forward planning of court hearings, meetings and client visits.
• Travel and Accommodation: Arrange travel and accommodation for the Partner/Associates as required.
• Client Care: Liaising with clients both face to face and on the telephone assisting with queries.
• Matter management: Ensure files are opened correctly and closed and archived on a regular basis.
• Billing: Proactively liaise with fee earners’ and Finance to ensure an effective billing process is achieved. Print off matter balance reports, ensure bills are processed, sent out to clients’ and payment chased in a timely manner. This includes capturing and recording billable hours as required.
• BD support: Assist BD with client activities, events and tenders.
• Correspondence: Support the effective use of DPU for all appropriate typing requirements, urgent and confidential work will remain within PL.
• Document Production: Completion profit cost sheets and Instructions to Costs.
• Administration: Small photocopying, scanning and filing tasks. This includes support of the administration team when required
• Cross team support: When necessary, assist colleagues in other teams’ to ensure adequate resource is deployed across the division.
• Other duties: to carry out any other duties and tasks which may be required of the post holder by the partner, fee-earners or other manager. This may include training coordination and business development support.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated and will take a professional approach to all administrative duties. You will be working in a busy environment and will need to handle a challenging workload; therefore excellent organisational and time management skills are essential, as is the ability to work on your own initiative and have experience of working unsupervised for an experienced fee earner. In addition an excellent telephone manner and the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with a wide range of people will be crucial.

Legal work experience and/or legal qualifications will be an advantage.
