What’s the role?
We’re looking for a HS2 Project Manager from all different backgrounds in the Birmingham area to join our expanding regional sales team. But this is no ordinary sales job, as ours is a uniquely high-performing and supportive working culture.
The role of the HS2 Project Manager is to pro-actively develop business opportunities from HS2 project. This is achieved by developing and growing Hilti solutions sales volume through visiting, site based engineers / designers, Site based contactors and sub-contractors. Your role will focus on selected high potential region part of the projects within a discrete geographical territory (Greater Birmingham area) and will aim to maximise Hilti’s sales potential on these projects by providing a high standard of service and consultancy on site.

What does the role involve?
As a HS2 Project Manager, you will be working on the biggest infrastructure project in Europe. This is one of most iconic and complex projects in the world. You will offer our customers efficient solutions and technical support on site backed by our innovative range of products and services and our best in class technical team.
You’ll be working pro-actively with key decision makers within clients, consultants and contractors on site to secure specifications, technical approvals and sales for Hilti products. Other key elements of the role will be to deliver superior value: understand what constitutes value in a customer’s mind to Hilti differentiation drivers: product, services, availability, relationship & brand. You will autonomously manage the project development pipeline, identifying and prioritizing specifiable applications supported by the Hilti technical team. You will be working closely with team members in similar roles and will be exposed to Hilti’s senior management team due to the importance of the project.
Far from being traditional sales, this role requires a consultative approach in order to develop a partnership with all stakeholders on construction sites. It is essential that you have the ability to identify business needs, problem solve and deliver tailored solutions to our ever growing customer base.
To succeed you will need to be a champion for the Hilti brand, consistently thinking outside of the box and setting clear goals to maximise opportunities within a dynamic, fast paced environment. Strong project management skills will also be required to work cohesively with different internal departments such as engineering, logistics and supply chain to deliver high quality, unique solutions effectively.

Day to day, you’ll report to your regional head of sales, who will also be there to help you manage your career.

What you need is:
- Experience in sales or construction related roles/industry
- University degree or any relevant trade qualification
- Results oriented and pro-active
- Excellent multi-level sales skills to promote products, services and concepts.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship building skills
- Excellent planning and time management skills.
- Computer literate in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook.
- A thirst to learn and challenge yourself
- Based or willing to relocate in the Greater Birmingham area
