Paralegal - Bristol - £16,000 - £22,000 (DOE) - J8519

Our client, a global legal firm in Central Bristol is recruiting in their Property & Casualty team. The Bristol-based team is dedicated to the efficient and cost-effective management of large numbers of Property Insurance Claims.

Day to day work duties are likely to include:

Providing trainee-level support to fee earners in the team.

In due course, you will have the opportunity to manage a caseloads

Assisting the Administrative Assistants

Paralegals are expected to contribute to the development of the team by:

Delivering high quality and timely output to clients

Working to develop an environment of constant improvement:

Capturing and collating required MI in accordance with agreed practice - for performance management, client reporting, SLAs, pricing and other purposes.

Contributing to the development and improvement of the team's service, support, processes and procedures.

Skills:

Required

Client focussed with high service delivery, keeping them up to date with developments as and when required.

A good working knowledge of law firm operations and pressures; understanding the need for efficient, timely, cost-effective support

Confident, with strong written and verbal communication skills. The job does require you to be confident on the phone with a range of people.

Hardworking, enthusiastic and motivated

Commercially aware, with an understanding of the concepts of efficiency

Ability to consider, analyse and advise upon large amounts of documents and material in a short space of time and report to insurers

Organised and efficient

Ability to deal with difficult or demanding situations and clients

Understand the importance of MI for our insurer clients and to keep your MI accurate and up to date

Desirable

Previous paralegal experience

Experience of case management systems

Experience within the field of P&C claims (particularly subrogation)

LPC, CILEX, law degree or GDL.
