Technical Sales - Office Based

(New Business/Telesales & existing Client Base Sales Development)

Well established, leader in their field, ££multimillion pound company has just completed a move to their impressive new warehouse and office facilities. A sleek, modern business unit situated just close to Stansted Airport. Due to expansion they now seek 3 talented Inside Sales Professionals to expand and develop their electronic sales in the UK and rest of the world. Current sales are 80% UK and 20% Global.

The position of Technical Sales involves a proactive approach to developing opportunities both within the existing customer base and to canvass and cultivate new customers to gain new business opportunities.

The company has an integrated stock, sales and customer relationship management system on which full in house training will be provided together with product knowledge and product to market training.

Skill set required, Technical Sales Professional:-

  • Exceptional telephone manner with customer service focus.
  • Attention to detail, quotation preparation, delivery and follow up.
  • Ability to handle sales enquiries efficiently through to order.
  • Computer literate.
  • Good organisational awareness.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with a self motivational drive.
  • Competent numeracy and literacy.

Ideal background, Technical Sales Professional, will have experience in a Business to Business setting; in one or all of the following; customer services, new business development (telesales) and account management (developing and expanding sales within existing client base). Sales experience ideally gained in any of the following sectors; Automation, Marine, Electrical, Industrial, Audio & Broadcast and Network Infrastructure, would be a distinct advantage, but not essential.

The successful applicant will undergo a 3 month training and probationary period. Thereafter, expect to progress within the company, limited only by the limits of your own ambition.

Salary will be negotiable and competitive with existing market rates.

Salary: £17,000 - £25,000 per annum (Depending on experience)

Hours: Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5.30pm

Holidays: 21 days + bank holidays

Benefits: after a successful 3 month probationary period, eligible to enrol on the company provided private health cover insurance scheme.
