Specialising in global quant recruitment, hedge fund and private equity and derivatives my client uses a high end contingency search method that has now established itself as the most competitive form of recruitment methods.
On a day to day basis you will be asked to map the market and establish relationships with candidates that may be suitable to positions that you have available within your client companies. With the majority of clients being FTSE 100 companies it is essential that you can liaise with candidates and clients in an efficient and effective way whilst retaining a high level of professionalism. When you have identified a candidate that is suitable for a position and you place them into a job that you have available then your job is done and the whole process starts again!
To work in recruitment you must ensure that you are very money motivates, ambitious in terms of your career progression and that you are proactive (i.e. play sports, have many hobbies or interests, worked continuously throughout university). As recruitment is very sales related you must ensure that you can communicate effectively and that you can be persuasive when talking to individuals.
