Account Director - Digital Agency

An experienced Account Director is needed to join a leading full service digital agency in St Albans, just 20 minutes from London. Employing over 40 people this fast growing, award winning agency is a Google, Microsoft, EPiServer, Sitecore and Kentico Partner who work at the very forefront of the digital industry. Since 1995 their strategic, creative and technical solutions have assisted leading businesses (Metrobank, Age UK and Sky to name just a few) develop highly effective and engaging online experiences.

Joining as the Account Director you will be responsible for leading the proactive retention and growth of a number of key clients. Whether you are planning the long term strategic direction of accounts; developing a deep understanding of your clients' business, marketing and commercial objectives; building relationships; leading review meetings; keeping up to date with new digital developments; proactively pitching fresh, innovative solutions or compiling annual budgets and roadmaps, expect an all-encompassing role that delivers results for both the clients and the agency.

To qualify... You should be an Account Director / AD / Senior Account Manager / SAM / Digital Account Director / Digital Account Manager or similar, with a CV that demonstrates:

  • Experience in an Account Management role, within a digital agency / digital consultancy;
  • A passion for digital communications and technology;
  • An ability to lead and drive accounts, rather than just managing them;
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build a great rapport with clients;
  • Excellent presentation, consultative sales and negotiation skills;
  • Effective problem-solving skills, specifically the ability to assess situations, evaluate options, make decisions, draw conclusions, and exercise judgement;
  • You are a strategic thinker who can clearly plan and articulate a strategy to the client;
  • The tenacity in staying on top of relevant digital trends and innovation.

Knowledge of Content Experience Management (CMS & CXM) platforms such as, but not limited to, Episerver, Sitecore and Kentico would be an advantage as would knowledge of other digital specialisms such as digital marketing (e.g. SEO, social) and any specific sector knowledge (e.g. Financial Services, Not-for-Profit), but neither are essential.
